I really did start reading thru some of your journeys this past summer, I was so blown away by your travels I couldn't think of anything pertinent to comment. I didn't know about this trip because I kinda "hit a wall" in my persoal life in the fall and missed a lot of games on JoS. Missed a lot of days, period. Otherwise I certainly would have commented about the fact that I too saw my first game at Fenway this year, as part of the JoS get-together. It was a loss as well. Pap blew it, in fact. We had a 3-run lead entering the 9th.
I had seen the Sox play a number of times, in Baltimore mostly, in Yankee Stadium once(YAY!), and, since interleague play came in, once in Atlanta. Going to Fenway, though, especially as a life-long Sox fan, was incredibly special to me.
Anyway, it's 4am here, I've been having a lot of insomnia lately, which is how I ended up deciding to check in on your travels. Loos like you're out on the rails again so I'll be checking back and be certain to comment once in a while from now on.
Safe travelsSoSockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15982944966573089279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8503608482894645077.post-40501673796116052342009-10-01T07:32:06.389-07:002009-10-01T07:32:06.389-07:00Congratulations on your first Fenway experience! I wish the Sox had completed that comeback for you, but that's baseball for ya.

Also congrats on your 6th comment. :)laura khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05524593142290489958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8503608482894645077.post-45984638812518184462009-09-30T22:25:05.511-07:002009-09-30T22:25:05.511-07:00Actually, scratch that last comment. I knew John and I had had some comment dialogues in the first posts, but I didn't realise one of them had gone all the way up to 5.
Only one more comment for the record, though. I agree with Allan---that reaction must be universal. Especially if the only ballparks you have been to before are places like Shea and Yankee Stadium, which was true for me as well.

My daughter was up on the right field roof.
